METTER, GA (WTOC) -

Metter police are asking for the public's help for more information about an arson that occurred March 14 at the Metter Presbyterian Church. 

Investigators said the fire occurred between 2-4 p.m. that day.

"We are seeking help from the public in identifying the person or persons responsible for this fire.  If anyone saw any suspicious persons or vehicles or anything unusual at this location, and particularly during these times please contact us," said Metter Police Chief Dennis Nelson in a statement. "No detail should be considered too small or insignificant." 

There is a potential reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those persons responsible.  Anyone with information in the case can call Investigator Justin Wells at 912.685.2190 or jwells@metterpd.com. Anonymous tips can also be emailed to tips@metterpd.com.
