Mobile home destroyed by fire, 8 displaced

UVALDA, GA (WTOC) -

Members of the American Red Cross Montgomery Toombs County Disaster Action Team responded to a mobile home fire in Uvalda that displaced eight people on Saturday.

The fire on the 200 block of Three Rivers Lane in Uvalda displaced 3 adults and 5 children, ages 17, 13, 10, 7 and 4 years of age.

The home was destroyed and volunteers provided funds for food and clothing. The family has another place to stay.                           

The Red Cross encourages the public to join in support of assisting disaster victims by becoming volunteers or making a financial donation to the American Red Cross at 41 Park of Commerce Way, Building 200, Savannah, GA 31405. The number to contact the American Red Cross is 912.651.5300.
