JCSO: Stabbing victim pushed from car

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is investigating a man found with stab wounds on Tuesday morning.

The Jasper County Communication Operator's received a call at about 6 a.m. on a report of in a possible pedestrian verses vehicle accident at the intersection of Freedom Parkway and Goethe Farm Road.

The Levy Fire Dept. and EMS personnel approached the person who was only partially clothed to further examine his injuries. They discovered that the man had suffered multiple stab wounds in the torso and neck. The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Jasper County Sheriff's Office deputies determined that the victim was intentionally pushed from out of a vehicle and left there alongside Freedom Parkway.

The victim was treated at the scene for his injuries and then flown by LifeStar to the Memorial University Medical Center.

Due to the sensitivity of this case, the victim's is being withheld until further investigation, according to the sheriff's office.
