Six juveniles arrested for robbery

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Southside Precinct officers arrested six juveniles after another youth was beaten and robbed Monday afternoon.

SCMPD saturated the area from Apache and Mohawk streets, across Abercorn Street and Fulton Road and across Rio Road to a heavily wooded area to capture the suspects.

All of the suspects were boys aged 13 to 14. Communications officers helped direct the patrol officers that were pursuing the suspects on foot.

The six suspects are charged with beating a robbing a 14-year-old boy who was walking to the library. The suspect broke the boy's glasses and stole $20.

The victim called his mother, who then approached the six suspects in a McDonald's. The suspects then began to call her derogatory names and threatened to shoot her.

The six boys have been detained at the Youth Detention Center on charges including obstruction, party to a crime, battery, terroristic threats and acts and robbery by force.
