SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Benedictine Military School held their annual Science Night Wednesday.

BC seniors were in charge of showing the younger children in attendance what they've been learning about in Science this year.

There were lots of activities, including getting to drive your own Mars rover, a look through a telescope of the plants and even a chance to blow something up in Chemistry lab.

All of this was to encourage young children to pursue a career in science.

"We are having to import scientists from other countries and its very important to educate our young children and get them interested in science and know that science isfun, science is good and science is not a scary thing that only super smart people can do," said Science teacher Nicole Willett. "Science is for everybody, we're all born scientists."

This is the third year BC has held the event.
