Brunswick man arrested on robbery charges

BRUNSWICK, GA (WTOC) -

A man has been arrested in connection with two purse snatchings that occurred in Brunswick this week.

Glynn County police arrested David Lashawn Greer, 26, on two separate felony counts of robbery by sudden snatching and one misdemeanor count of obstruction. The charges stem from a joint investigation with Brunswick police.  

At about 9:19 p.m. on March 23, a man had snatched a women's purse from her shopping cart as she was loading groceries into her vehicle. The incident occurred in the Winn Dixie Shopping Center at 4404 Altama Ave.

A similar incident occurred the next day at about 6:20 p.m. in the Walmart parking lot at 150 Altama Connector. The victim was walking to her vehicle pushing a shopping cart and a black male ran up behind her, snatched her purse and ran to a waiting car that took off.

This case is still under investigation and further arrests are expected.
