Love brings folks together for Annual MS Walk

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Folks gathered together on Saturday morning for the Annual MS Walk in Daffin Park.

Most of the participants either are, or know someone who is, affected by Multiple Sclerosis. This walk is meant to bring together those living with MS, and the loved ones that care about them.

Team WTOC, spearheaded by Don Logana, has raised more than $40,000 total in the last two years, and we are on track to raise $25,000 this year. The funds raised support programs and research that will impact all members living in Georgia.

"We want everyone to know that just because you have MS, it does not keep you away from being a part of the community. We want to make sure that everyone knows that there are outlets, and we want to make sure that you have the opportunity to know that there is somebody else out there who really cares and has the same thing as you do," said Dr. Virginia Morrison, Facilitator for Prime, self help MS group.

WTOC's Don Logana was joined by Dawn Baker and Cyreia Sandlin during this morning's walk.
