Agawam man pleads guilty to Medicaid fraud

An Agawam man who worked as a personal care attendant has admitted to stealing more than $60,000 from the state's Medicaid program.

Attorney General Martha Coakley announced Monday that James Lynch pleaded guilty in Hampshire Superior Court.

He's accused of submitting false time sheets to MassHealth indicating care for a patient while he was working as a bus driver at the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative.

He was sentenced to five years probation.
