WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - How ' bout this pattern!?!? A warm high pressure system will continue to bring above-average temperatures and little or no opportunity for rainfall this week. A storm system will gradually build into the Carolinas over the weekend and early next week - bringing with it some slightly cooler temperatures and slightly higher rain chances.
WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY: Expect continued partly to mostly sunny skies and light to moderate breezes - mainly from the south and west. Temperatures will continue to respond well to the April sunshine! Expect daily highs mainly in the upper half of the 70s and lower half of the 80s inland and upper 60s and lower 70s for the immediate coast. Tree pollen levels: high!
EXTENDED FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS: Saturday and Sunday will likely feature variable clouds and a chance of a shower or thundershower of 30 to 40%. Saturday will likely be slightly warmer (highs mainly upper 70s) than Sunday (highs mainly lower 70s). For Monday and Tuesday: the chance of a shower or thundershower will grow a bit - 40 to 50%.
