SCMPD arrests 3 in east side shooting probe

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

SCMPD Violent Crimes detectives are still investigating a shooting that happened Tuesday afternoon on Savannah's east side, but the investigation has led to three arrests for other charges.

Kareem Abdul Felder, 18, was charged with obstruction and false statements and writings after lying to officers about his identity and the location of the shooting.

Felder arrived at Memorial with a non-life threatening gunshot wound shortly after the shooting happened.

Islands Precinct Officers were called to Ash Street to investigate the shooting. Detectives and Islands Precint officers, as well as Crime Suppression Unit officers served four search warrants related to the investigation and arrested two more individuals.

Johnell Taylor, 36, was arrested on an outstanding contempt of court warrant, and Bernard Jonathon Wilson, 26, was charged with possession of marijuana.
