Man wanted in connection with Jasper County shooting death

JASPER CO., SC (WTOC) -

The Jasper County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man wanted in connection with a shooting death that happened on Henry Lawton Road Tuesday.

"We are actively searching for Devin Dwayne Swinton in the death of Dominique Curtis Scott," Sherrif Gregory Jenkins said in a statement.

Swinton is described as 5'6, weighing 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and is 23 years old.

Swinton should not be approached because he is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about Swinton's whereabouts should contact the Jasper County Communication Operator at 847.726.7519 or the Jasper County Detective Division at 843.726.7779.

The shooting investigation is being jointly conducted by the Jasper County Sheriff's Office and the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.
