Two FEAR group members plead guilty to murder

LONG CO., GA (WTOC) -

Two men that were part of the militia group FEAR pleaded guilty in a Long County court Thursday morning.

Sgt. Anthony Peden and Pvt. Christopher Salmon are charged with the murders of Michael Roark and Tiffany York. Investigators say they killed the couple to protect the organization.

Pvt. Christopher Salmon pleaded guilty to the murder of Roark Thursday morning in a Long County courtroom. He will serve a life sentence without parole as a result of a plea deal.

Sgt. Anthony Peden also pleaded guilty to murder Thursday morning.

A judege will decide later to sentence him with life in prison with or without parole.

The prosecution said they would seek the death penalty in this case before the plea agreements were reached. 

The leader of FEAR, Pvt. Isaac Aguigui, pleaded guilty to the murder charges and is already serving a life sentence for the murders.
