EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -

One of two men accused of getting pit bulls to go after a pet pig in Effingham County is scheduled to be sentenced next week.

Ben Fullwood, 24, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and one count of making false statements.

Oliver is doing well after the attack a year ago. He will even be in a parade on Saturday morning in Sylvania.

Fullwood originally told WTOC the move was self-defense. He will be sentenced next Thursday.

Clyde McFearin, 53, waived his right to a jury trial and will be tried by a judge at a later date.
