Bluffton business owner wants to turn historic house into Farmer's Market office

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

A Bluffton business owner wants to turn an historic house into an office for the town's very popular farmer's market.

The Graves House has stood on the corner of Calhoun and Allen Street for more than 104 years, and it is in need of repair.

Thomas Viljac, the owner of the Old Town Dispensary, has agreed to renovate the house and possibly more it to another location on Calhoun Street.

"Right now, we pull from five or six different locations to make the Farmer's Market happen every Thursday," he said. "Due to the notoriety and hard work the board has put into the market, it's grown and grown, and it's time to have a physical location where we can store and operate out of."

The total cost to move and renovate the Graves House could total $30,000, and the work could take up to five months.

Viljac said he's up for the task.
