In the Lowcountry, a technical glitch lead the Hampton County Council to change its agenda at the last minute on Monday night.
County council members were supposed to have a second reading on school district 2's request for financial help.
Last Thursday, the council held an emergency meeting, and unanimously approved what many thought was the first reading to consider taking out a $1 million loan for the district. But, during Monday's meeting, the county attorney advised it was only to continue the process, and that Monday was actually the first reading, which the council then unanimously approved.
This leaves two more readings and a public hearing in between, before the vote is final.
