Savannah man arrested in Hardeeville stolen vehicle case

HARDEEVILLE, SC (WTOC) -

A man wanted in connection with a stolen car was arrested and returned to Jasper County on Tuesday.

The car was stolen from Palmetto Wholesale Motors in Hardeeville, SC.

Joshua Tamil Myers, 20, was arrested and transported from the Georgia Dept. of Corrections to the Jasper County Detention Center.

Myers, along with three other co-defendants, committed the crime on Dec. 23, 2011.

Myers has been charged with grand larceny of a 2004 Nissan 350 ZX, conspiracy and possession of a stolen vehicle. He is currently awaiting a bond hearing.

According to Sheriff Gregory Jenkins, Myers and a co-defendant conspired together to distract a salesperson in order to steal the Nissan car.

All of the defendants are believed to be from Savannah, GA.
