Savannah High students attend police career fair

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah High students interested in a job in law enforcement attended a career fair Thursday afternoon.

Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police officers held their roll call meeting, which they use to start shirts, at the school before the career fair.

Students had a chance to see what positions are there, specifically with the SCMPD.

School officials said this is one way to get high school students interested in the program.

"They are at an impressionable age right now, and it is a great time for them to start making career choices," said Savannah High School Principal Tony Jordan.

Savannah High School is the home of the Law and Criminal Justice program.
