Jury deliberates in murder trial

The jury is deliberating the fate of the two men on trial for murdering a Savannah man.

The jury went into deliberations early Friday afternoon to decide whether or not to convict Terrell Nelson and Germaine Grant of murdering Achmed William in 2013.

Both the prosecution and the defense gave their closing arguments on Friday morning.

The state asked the jury to consider all the evidence presented, the shell casings, the phone records, clothing and forensics and how it matched with the testimony presented.

The defense said there is not enough physical evidence to prove anything, especially beyond a reasonable doubt, that the defendants killed anyone.

The defense also worked to undermine the state's star eye witness, Lester Seabrook.

There is no timeline as to how long the jury could take to deliberate.
