SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Hunter Spouses Club raised money for their scholarship and wellness fund during the Annual Basket Auction, on Tuesday.

Each year, the organization puts together the event, which is primarily a silent auction. But, there is some live auctioning as well.

The money goes toward scholarships for military children, as well as to organizations in the community that support the military.

This is the last year for the Hunter Spouses Club.

"We are merging next year with the Ft. Stewart Club, the Marne Club. I am just really glad that we are going to be able to go out on such a great note, and provide great scholarships and grants this year," said Katrina Walters, President, Hunter Spouses Club.

The club hopes to raise about $3,000 this year.

WTOC's Sonny Dixon was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.
