Chad Dasher faces additional charges after three month run from law

Chad Dasher appeared before a judge Wednesday morning after his long awaited capture early on Tuesday morning.

Having escaped jail and spending three months running from the law, Dasher now faces even more charges.

His run stretched from Georgia to Texas.

Dasher returned to familiar territory Wednesday morning: a judge's office for a magistrate hearing.

Two more charges were formally added to a list that's already lengthy and still growing.

His list of charges now includes escape and interference with government property, both felonies, after he escaped from jail in February.

Dasher already faces 23 counts of theft, burglary and fleeing from 2012. He spent three months on the run across the Southeast before his capture on Tuesday morning. Even in custody, he still had a message for his family.

"Tell my boys that I love them, and tell my wife to be good," said Dasher.

In addition to charges here, he faces custody holds and charges in seven other counties, including one in Alabama and one in Florida, with possible charges still pending in Texas.

For now, he is in the Tattnall County jail.

Deputies also arrested Dasher's two sons when they captured him. They remain in juvenile custody, and appeared before a judge this morning.
