Bluffton officer fired, another officer resigns

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -

Bluffton Police Chief Joey Reynolds announced Thursday morning that an officer has been fired for violating the Bluffton Police Dept.'s Code of Conduct and another officer has resigned.

Reynolds said Officer Henry Criss was fired and that Officer Lindsey Marion has resigned. The announcement comes after an internal investigation by the Bluffton Police Dept., which determined that Cross and Marion had violated the Code of Conduct policies of the department.

Bluffton police were notified on April 2 by the Tybee Island Police Dept. that Criss had been arrested while off-duty after getting into a fight while intoxicated and pulling a firearm on a victim, according to police.

Tybee police arrested him on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm. Tybee police determined that Marion was present during the altercation.
