Reward raised in Camden County murder case

Posted: Updated:
A reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the slaying of a Camden County woman has been increased to $25,000.

Camden County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called on Sept. 4, 2013, to a home on McKinnon Road in White Oak on a welfare check. Emily Drury, 49, was found on the floor of her home. Medical personnel determined that Drury was deceased. Her death was ruled a homicide.

Sheriff Jim Proctor said this case is particularly frustrating.

"This has been very hard on Miss Drury's family and frustrating for our investigators. We are confident that someone out there besides the killer knows what happened and we implore them to come forward. Justice needs to be served and this family needs closure," said Proctor in a statement.
