Savannah woman prepares for her tenth Boston Marathon

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

As Boston puts final touches on the marathon, runners from all over the world are getting their final training in.

A Savannah woman will run the race for her tenth time on Monday, and not only is that amazing, but the fact that she is doing it with a prosthetic leg makes it even more special.

She was stopped mid-marathon last year after those two bombs went off at the finish line.

"It's going to be a mix of excitement with the marathon itself and some triumph over what happened last year with everyone coming back to celebrate the recovery of the marathon and everyone that was injured, as well as the sadness and grief for the people that were killed," said Kelly Luckett. "A lot of different emotions this year."

Luckett gets the opportunity to run in the Boston Marathon each year thanks to a grant from the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
