UPDATE: Chesterfield father issues tearful plea for answers in teen's death

CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) -

The father of a teen found dead near the Defense Supply Center in Chesterfield says she died from blunt force trauma to the torso.

18-year-old Alyna Davis was found under the Dundas Road overpass around 4:30 a.m. on January 14. Glenn Davis is now issuing a tearful plea for answers.

"I just need closure in my daughter's death," said Mr. Davis with tears in his eyes. "I need closure."

Alyna's father says the former Community High School student may have been seen walking with two men holding her up around 1:30 a.m. He says a toxicology report shows Alyna had drugs in her system, but not enough to lead to an overdose.

"They are ruling it an accidental death," sad Davis. "What is the accident? I just don't understand. I'm baffled."

Now the family is issuing a $1,000 reward for any information on what happened that night. Police say it was an accident.

"It's tough going to bed knowing that my daughter needed help," said Davis. "And no one could give her any help. I couldn't be there for my daughter. I wish I could have."
