BCSO seek armed robbery suspect

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an armed robbery at Palmetto Bay Marina on Hilton Head Island on Friday.

The victim reported that he was walking past the Harbor Master's Office at the Palmetto Bay Marina, when he was approached from behind by an unidentified black male wearing a hoodie and in possession of a knife around 10:30 p.m. on Friday. The suspect demanded money from the victim. The victim pulled out his wallet and a brief altercation ensued. The victim sustained a small laceration.

The injury is non-life threatening. The suspect fled the area on foot with the victim's wallet, which contained no money.

A perimeter was established by deputies and a K-9 track was conducted, ending abruptly in the area of Brighton Bay Villas.
