Folks enjoying Easter egg hunting despite rain

Easter is almost here, and that means there are plenty of Easter egg hunts happening around the area.

Lifebridge Church held a huge hunt at Grayson Stadium in Daffin Park on Saturday. Lots of folks turned out for the free event, which also included live music by local band "Tell Scarlet," inflatables, and a visit from both the Easter Bunny and Nate the Gnat.

"We just wanted to do an event for the community where they could come out and have some fun, we just think it is really important for the church to be out in the community, and to be outside the four walls, so this is something that we can do to serve our community," said Chris Hunt, Pastor, Lifebridge Church.

This is the second year Lifebridge Church has held this event, but it is the first time they have held it at Grayson Stadium.

Also, the rain did not stop people from getting out and enjoying the Easter events in Glennville and Reidsville on Saturday. There was an Easter egg hunt at the Glennville Recreation Center. They had a pretty good turnout despite the conditions.

Reidsville had their Easter egg event at the Reidsville Middle School, where people drove up in their cars to receive "goody" bags, because of the weather. They handed out over 135,000 eggs this year.
