Driver slams car into apartment building

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A car drove right into an apartment complex on Brownstone Blvd. in south Toledo on Saturday afternoon.

Police say a young female driver was trying to back up when she somehow got flustered and accelerated, running into the Chartwell Apartments building.

The vehicle struck a male bystander who was inside the building.

Police say the accident victim only suffered a scratch on the back but was transported to the hospital to be checked out.

The driver was uninjured.

Officials will be checking the structure of the building to make sure it is okay.
