Statesboro man charged with aggravated assault

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A Statesboro man is being held at the Bulloch County Jail in connection with a shooting Tuesday night.

Bulloch County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a home in the 200 block of B. Stubbs Road in Statesboro on a report of a man shot.

Deputies found Keith Wesley Brannen, 43, of the Plantation mobile home park, on the ground and shot, according to the BCSO. He was flown to Memorial University Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

A sweep of the home led deputies to 51-year-old James Jeffrey Stubbs. He was detained for investigation and the scene. After examining the scene and several interviews conducted by investigators, Stubbs was charged with aggravated assault.
