In researching this story, WTOC Brandi Cummings learned that under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act or Clery Act, college campuses have to document and report violent crimes such as rapes. However, those statistics would not be included in any statistics held by local law enforcement. WTOC contacted all of the colleges or universities in Savannah. We found:
