ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Ty Randolph has just about seen and done it all in basketball.

Now he'll try to revive the Dougherty Trojans program.

The Dougherty County School Board approved the hire of Randolph at Wednesday's meeting, pending a background check.

Randolph has quite the basketball resume.

He's a former Harlem Globetrotter, as well as playing professionally overseas.

He has spent the last several years in player development with NBA teams, including the 76ers, Pistons, and Bobcats.

Before his time in the pros, Randolph was the head coach at Groves High School near Savannah.

Randolph takes over for Donald Poole, who retired midseason in 2013.
