Man charged with shooting into Memphis homes due in court

MEMPHIS, TN -

(WMC) – A man accused of firing shots into Memphis homes is scheduled to go before a judge on Thursday.

Among the many charges, 19-year-old Darius Sanders faces six counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Police believe the shooting spree began on March 26 in the 300 block of Modder Avenue. Investigators say there were seven people inside the home at the time of the shooting.

Sanders is also believed to have opened fire on a home in the 200 block of Ingle Avenue on Monday, April 21. Four people were at that house. One person, who was sitting on the porch, was shot and rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

In addition to the six counts of attempted second-degree murder, Sanders is also charged with seven counts of aggravated assault.

He is being held on a $375,000 bond.
