The investigation into a fatal train incident involving the film crew for "Midnight Rider", an Unclaimed Freight production that killed a 27-year-old woman is now in the hands of a Brunswick circuit attorney.

The attoney's office has confirmed that District Attorney Jackie Johnson met with Wayne County Sheriff John Carter on Monday and has WCSO's investigation report.

Camera assistant Sarah Jones, 27, was killed and several others were injured. The office has not reviewed the case yet and will not comment on any possible charges until they have a chance to do so. There is no timetable set.

As WTOC reported Thursday night, Academy Award winner William Hurt, who was the lead role in the Gregg Allman biopic and was on set the day of the train incident, dropped out if the project this week.
