SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

In an effort to unmask the truth and raise awareness behind violent crime in the Coastal Empire, the Rape Crisis Center hosted its 4th Annual "Unmaskerade:" Unmask the Violence, Don't Live in Silence, silent auction on Saturday night.

Guests were able to bid on all kinds of items. Best-selling author and motivational speaker, Jenny Lynn Anderson, was the special guest. They also honored two women, District Attorney, Meg Heap, and Interim Police Chief, Julie Tolbert.

"Tonight is an opportunity for us to raise the necessary funds for us to continue that work, but also to continue to raise awareness in the consciousness of people who are gathering with us this evening. But, also, to celebrate them for their commitment to our community, and to taking a stand against sexual violence of any kind," said Kesha Gibson-Carter, Organizer.

All the money raised will go to help the Rape Crisis Center of the Coastal Empire.
