Flower Hospital submit action plan following incident

(Toledo News Now) -

Flower Hospital is in danger of losing its Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement after an incident in the psychiatric ward.

ProMedica says they would have an action plan submitted to correct the matter Monday April 28. Flower Hospital has been cited with an immediate jeopardy situation. Representatives from ProMedica say in order to fix that, they have submitted their action plan to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Representatives from ProMedica say they will not be providing any additional information on the action plan and no details about what's inside. However, a representative last week said they will provide more details on the action plan after it has been accepted.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services say they do not know how long it will take to approve the plan. They say it depends on the length of the plan, and if ProMedica is asked for revisions.

The Ohio Department of Health also confirms this plan has been submitted.
