Update 11/09/04: Police formally charged Cochran with three counts of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence. They'll arraign him tomorrow on those charges.

The suspected drunk driver involved in a fatal accident near the Talmadge Bridge last week will be charged with three counts of vehicular homicide.

Pictured here is Adam Cochran, 31, shortly after the accident early Friday morning. Police say Cochran was drunk and going the wrong way on Interstate 16 when he crashed head-on into a red station wagon at the Highway 17 connector near the bridge.

All three women inside the station wagon were killed.

Cochran is still being treated at the hospital for a broken foot and other minor injuries. He will be taken to the Chatham County jail once he is released from the hospital.
