Gov. Nathan Deal has until the end of the day on Tuesday to decide whether he will sign the dozens of bills still pending into law or whether to veto them.
While the governor has already signed some big bills, there are still several high profile bills that need to be decided upon.
Gov. Deal has signed two pieces of legisltation dealing with President Obama's healthcare overhaul, House Bill 990 and House Bill 943. HB 990 gives lawmakers the authority to expand state Medicaid, and HB 943 restricts local agencies and their employees from advocating Medicaid expansions and bans the creation of a health care insurance exchange.
Deal has also said he will sign House Bill 772, which would require drug testing for some recipients of welfare and food stamps and require them to pay for the tests out of pocket.
