SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Chatham County Health Department will offer free eye, ear, dental, and nutrition screenings for school children Wednesday.

The screenings are required for students entering Georgia schools for the first time.

This year, there is a new form that students will need and it falls under the nutrition category, involving height, weight and body mass index. Normally, a $30 fee applies.

The free screenings will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at 1395 Eisenhower Drive in Savannah. No appointment is necessary.
