Falcons' Dimitroff tests trade market before draft

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) - Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff, who has been testing the market for a possible NFL draft-day trade, says he won't be reluctant to make a deal.

The GM said Wednesday, "We don't sit on our hands."

The Falcons have 10 picks, including No. 6 overall, in next week's draft.

Dimitroff says he has talked to "many teams" and says "obviously trade situations come up."

He has made at least one trade in each of his six drafts in Atlanta. He moved up eight spots to select cornerback Desmond Trufant at No. 22 last year. Dimitroff traded five picks to Cleveland so he could draft receiver Julio Jones in 2011.

There have been reports Atlanta might try to acquire Houston's No. 1 overall pick to draft South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney.
