(RNN) – After 10 years as the host of CBS's The Late Late Show, comedian Craig Ferguson will step down in 2015, following David Letterman in the mass exodus of CBS late night talk show hosts.

Unlike the folks over at The Late Show, they have so far not named a successor for Ferguson.

In late night television's desire to keep things young and fresh, here is a short list of contenders who could help the Late Late Show compete with Seth Meyers:

  1. Aisha Tyler – Already a co-host of CBS's The Talk and the reboot of Who's Line is it Anyway?, this comedienne could bring a sincerely funny and charming take to late night. Something people didn't appreciate with Ferguson.
  2. Chelsea Handler – Handler has already had a late night show, E!'s Chelsea Lately and was a regular on Jay Leno, so her time on television past 12:30 ET may not be over yet – even though some don't think she will take the job.
  3. Chris Hardwick – He's the hardest working nerd in show business. He hosts, he makes jokes, he's aged wonderfully since his Singled Out days - and much like The New York Post suggests, with his @Midnight contract at Comedy Central set to expire after its 40-week run, Hardwick could be doing more than Talking Dead.

A little something from YouTube: The homies at Thug Notes brings new venture in ‘8-bit Philosophy'

Sparky Sweets, Ph. D and the brilliant folks at Thug Notes have a new way to educate high schoolers who don't have time to study or buy Cliff Notes.

Their latest venture is 8-Bit Philosophy, bringing education and old school video games together. Much like the video's tagline suggests, it is "where gaming makes you smart."

The first edition is "What is real? (Plato's Allegory of the Cave)" and the narrator is the guy who you want to follow you around and narrate your life.

Thank goodness for YouTube. Where was this when I didn't understand Plato?
