Woman accused of using handcuffs to hit Metro officer in face

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A woman is accused of using her handcuffs to hit a Metro jail officer in the face.

Metro police say Adrienne Odom was at the booking office for charges of suspicion of DUI and smoking crack cocaine on Wednesday morning.

The officer was entering Odom's information into the computer when police say she got up and attacked him, cutting open his face by striking him over and over with handcuffs.

The officer had several lacerations to his face and wrist.

Odom is now facing aggravated assault charges.
