Bryan County teacher's conduct remains under investigation

PEMBROKE, GA (WTOC) -

School officials say the investigation into a Bryan County High School teacher accused of inappropriate behavior with a student should be complete Friday.

The teacher is currently on paid leave.

School officials got an anonymous tip that the teacher was acting inappropriately with a student during a road trip with the cross country team.

Bryan County School Superintendent Paul Brooksher would not identify the teacher, but he did say the anonymous tipster sent an email saying a female student stayed with the teacher in a hotel room and that alcohol was involved.

The trip happened back in November but the tip came in earlier this month. They immediately reported it to DFACS, which is required by law.
