Former asst. football coaches denied bond on sexual assault charges

STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

A judge has denied bond for two former Statesboro High School football coaches charged with sexual assault.

Luke Parks surrendered to police on Thursday and Jeffrey Crowder was arrested Wednesday on school grounds. The two face sexual assault charges in two separate cases involving female students.

According to Bulloch County School Superintendent Charles Wilson, the school system alerted police when they heard about the incidents on Monday and are cooperating with the investigation.

Parks and Crowder appeared before a magistrate judge Friday morning in Statesboro. He denied bond for both.
