Annual Tybee Rainbow Fest set to kick off

TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

The 2nd annual Tybee Rainbow Fest is happening this weekend. The event is held in support of the gay and lesbian community in the Coastal Empire. 

The festival runs May 2-4, kicking off on Friday with the Tybee Rainbow Fest luau-themed Dance Party at the Tybee Wedding Chapel Grand Ballroom from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. 

The fun continues Saturday with a Tybee Rainbow Fest Parade from 3 to 5 p.m. It will start at 4th Street, continue down Butler to Tybrisa, and end at Fannie's on the Beach.

Then on Sunday, the day will begin with a nice brunch offered at several Tybee Island locations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the annual Beach Sweep event to promote beach beautification from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
