FRISCO, Texas, May 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Centennial Medical Center will partner with local agencies to train for disaster response.
A mock tornado scenario will be enacted at the City of Frisco's Safety Town at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014. This tornado disaster will be classified as a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) and will mobilize the City of Frisco's Fire Department, Emergency Management Office and Centennial Medical Center.
Twelve volunteers will be participating as the victims of the tornado and will require medical evaluation and transport to Centennial Medical Center where they will then be diagnosed and treated accordingly.
Supplementary training and preparation for this exercise will take place at Centennial Medical Center prior to the event.
Additional volunteers are welcome to participate by acting out roles of family members and media personnel.
