Man arrested for double shooting on Bull Street

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The Savannah-Chatham Metropolitan Police Dept.'s Central Precinct detectives and the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Norman "Jookie" Koonce, Jr. on Friday for a double shooting on April 26.

Investigators believe Koonce, 27, is responsible for the shootings of 16-year-old Quahfee Murphy and 23-year-old Allen Moore on Bull Street.

Murphy died as a result of his injuries and Moore was transported to Memorial University Medical Center for treatment.

Koonce is charged with murder, two counts of possession of a firearm by first offender, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal attempted murder, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
