Savannah Showstoppers donate money to Savannah Feed the Hungry

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Members of the Savannah Showstoppers Dance Troop donated money they raised over the last month to Savannah Feed the Hungry on Tuesday night.

Every Monday and Tuesday, the owner of the Mutuals Dance Studio on Barnard and Victory holds free line dance classes.

He only asks that people donate to the cause they have chosen to support each month.

Lamont Hunter, founder and choreographer of the Savannah Showstoppers, explained the joy he gets from doing this.

"It is awesome, I got the best students I'm telling you," said Hunter. "We have a lot of fun. You saw the energy up there, we just have a lot of fun. And they know what the cause is for, so you know they are rallying behind me for that cause, Savannah Feed the Hungry, and you know we just have a lot of fun. It's good exercise."

If you would like to join in, those line dance classes are held every Monday and Tuesday night.
