Alee Shriners hold fundraiser to support families at HAAF

Posted: Updated:

Close to 50 volunteers are spending the day getting chicken dinners together to support the Alee Shriners.

The annual fundraiser helps the group while supporting soldiers and their families at Hunter Army Airfield.

For those interested, you can buy a dinner for yourself, your family or for a military family.

The Alee Shriners are hoping to sell more than 2,000 chicken dinners in two days.

"We would love everyone to come and support us and buy tickets," said Billy Phillips. "Walk-ins are what we are looking for right now. Businesses that buy 10 or more, we have quite a few businesses buying them for employees, and we'll deliver them."

The dinners are $8 a piece and they will be selling them at the Temple on Eisenberg Drive from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

All dinners bought for the soldiers will be delivered to them on May 30.
