ATF, employees check inventory after Thunderbolt gun shop burglary

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

ATF Agents have confirmed that items were stolen from a Thunderbolt gun shop on Thursday morning.

They have not figured out what items were stolen, but they are still doing inventory.

While investigators aren't exactly sure how the suspects got in, the front door was shattered at some point.

Early on Thursday morning police blocked off the entire area around Thunderbolt Guns, trying to figure out who broke in and stole items from the shop. Shattered glass is still in front of the main entrance.

With the help of ATF agents, employees are still taking inventory to figure out what was stolen, and those who work nearby said they didn't hear a thing.

They said it's unsettling to know this happened just next door.

"Just knowing that it happened, it could happen anywhere," said Pierce Mason, Chu's manager. "We just try to take precautions, be observant and just take proper procedures if it does happen to us."

The ATF said they are working active leads, but have not released any names at this time.
