GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

The Effingham County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for 41-year-old Allen Donnelly who is accused of beating a teenager and using racially charged language because he didn't want the boy near his stepdaughter.

It happened on March 27 at a house on Westwood Drive, just south of Rincon. According to the sheriff's office, Donnelly is white and the teen is black.

Effingham County Sheriff's Office spokesman David Ehsanipoor said Donnelly beat up on a teenager of a different race while using racial slurs. He confirmed that the stepfather saw a black teen, who was there with the grandmother's knowledge, in the home with his stepdaughter and beat him up.

"There's no place in Effingham County for that, and there's no place in society for that," Ehsanipoor said.

The young man was treated at a hospital and released. Sheriff's investigators are working with the district attorney's office on possible additional charges.
