GUYTON, GA (WTOC) -

A Guyton man accused of beating a 15-year-old boy while yelling racial slurs is now out on bond.

Alan Donnelly was released on a $3,000 bond on Monday.

Donnelly is charged with battery for the attack. Deputies said that he beat a 15-year-old black male while yelling the "n-word" after he found the boy at home with his stepdaughter. The boy had been invited over by the girl's grandmother.

Deputies say Donnelly also assaulted the grandmother when she tried to stop the beating.

Donnelly's next court appearance has not yet been set.
